aWallet Next is the successor to aWallet and aWallet Cloud, rebuilt from the ground up for iPhone, iPad and Android with modern cryptography. One encrypted vault that only you can open, the same file on iOS and Android, kept on your device and synced through iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Google Drive or your own WebDAV server.
No aWallet server. No aWallet account to create. No ads. Your vault is encrypted on your device with a key derived from your master password. Your cloud provider, and we, only ever see encrypted data.
Passwords, PINs, credit cards and notes, organized in categories, with tags and favorites. Ready-made templates, or your own fields.
Your own picture on any entry or template: a photo of the actual card, your car on the insurance entry, the router on the Wi-Fi one. Or pick an icon and color. You recognize an entry at a glance, before you read its name.
Photos, documents and videos attached to any entry: scans of your ID, insurance papers, recovery codes, a video of what is in the safe. Each attachment is encrypted with its own key and stored apart from the vault, so the vault stays small and fast. Images open in a full-screen gallery, videos play right in the app.
Passkeys stored in your vault, so they sync to all your devices and move with you between iPhone and Android.
2FA one-time codes (TOTP). Scan a QR code and aWallet becomes your authenticator. The live code sits right next to the login it belongs to and is computed offline.
Fill passwords, one-time codes and passkeys in the browser and in apps, protected by Face ID, Touch ID or your fingerprint.
Sync through iCloud Drive (iPhone and iPad), Dropbox, Google Drive or your own WebDAV server (a NAS or any WebDAV host), or keep everything on your device. Your cloud only ever stores encrypted files. Sync is efficient: it transfers only what changed, warns you about conflicts and lets you decide, and on iPhone and iPad it respects Low Data Mode.
One health score for your whole vault and a clear list of what needs attention: compromised, reused, weak, old and duplicate passwords, sites without HTTPS and logins missing 2FA. Each finding comes with a fix, such as opening the site, generating a strong replacement or adding a one-time code.
The breach check is private. It uses the k-anonymity method of the Have I Been Pwned service: only the first five characters of a password's SHA-1 hash ever leave your device, never the password and never the full hash.
Argon2id key derivation, built to resist cracking hardware.
256-bit XChaCha20-Poly1305 authenticated encryption: a wrong password or a tampered file is detected, never silently decrypted into garbage.
Changing your master password is instant; your data does not need to be re-encrypted.
The same libsodium cryptography on iOS and Android, so one file opens on both.
An open, documented file format, so your data is never locked in.
Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint unlock; auto-lock when idle or when the app goes to the background.
Screenshots and screen recordings of the app stay blank, and the app switcher shows a cover instead of your data.
Copied passwords are cleared from the clipboard.
Optional erase after too many failed unlock attempts.
A Recycle Bin keeps deleted items for 30 days.
If you always unlock with Face ID or your fingerprint, aWallet asks for your master password once every 14 days, so you never forget it (you can turn this off in Settings).
Turn on Face ID or fingerprint unlock (Pro): if you ever forget your master password, it still opens your vault, and you can set a new password.
Create a Recovery Key (Pro) that opens your vault if you forget your master password, or split it into Recovery Shares kept by people you trust, so that a number of them you choose can open it together. You save it as a PDF, a QR code or on paper; it exists only where you keep it. There is no server and no reset link, which is exactly why nobody else can get in.
aWallet Next finds your existing vault on the same device and imports it with your current master password. The original app and its data stay untouched, and your earlier purchase is honored: cloud sync and biometric unlock for aWallet Cloud, biometric unlock for Pro inside aWallet, as long as the original app stays installed on that device.
Import the CSV export of your current password manager or browser. Folders, favorites and one-time codes come across, not just usernames and passwords. Import and export are always free.
